³⁵ “I promised a good land to your ·ancestors [fathers], but none of ·you evil people [this evil generation] will see it. ³⁶ Only Caleb son of Jephunneh will see it [Num. 14:24]. I will give him and his descendants the land he walked on, because he followed the Lord completely [Josh. 15:13–19; Judg. 1:9–15].”
